The Role:

The Bank is seeking to recruit a Credit and Operational Risk Support Officer reporting to the Senior Credit Risk Manager and the Chief Risk Officer as needed.

You will support the credit risk team in evaluating the creditworthiness of trade corporate clients, monitoring exposures, and ensuring compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements. You will also assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks across the bank. You will support the implementation of the operational risk framework in line with regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the credit assessment of loan applications and credit facilities
• Analyse financial statements, compliance reports, and industry data to assess risk.
• Support the preparation of credit risk reports for internal committees and regulators.
• Conduct country risk assessments/reports.
• Monitor credit exposures and ensure compliance with approved limits and risk appetite.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Middle Office to ensure proper risk documentation.
• Assist in the execution of Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) across departments.
• Support the collection and analysis of operational risk incidents and loss data.
• Help maintain the operational risk register and other risk registers, ensuring timely reporting of events.
• Participate in root cause analysis and follow-up on remediation actions.
• Assist in preparing operational risk dashboards and reports for senior management and regulators.
• Contribute to business continuity planning and operational resilience initiatives.
• Support internal training and awareness programs on operational risk.

Qualifications & Skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related field would be preferable, but is not a mandatory requirement
• 0–2 years of experience in credit risk, banking, or financial analysis.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Command of the English language is essential.
